This week the Democratic National Convention kicked off on Tuesday and wrapped up on Thursday with President Obama's speech. I actually tuned in every evening. I've always found politics interesting but I never really paid too much attention until President Barack Obama ran for office in 2008. He changed the political scene here in the United States forever. I really admire him and
always enjoy hearing him speak.
First Lady Michele was the keynote speaker on Tuesday. She did really well and looked very lovely. I mean the woman really represents. I can only imagine how proud she is of her husband. On Wednesday, former president Bill Clinton spoke. There has been a lot buzz about his speech. He spoke for almost an hour without a teleprompter. It was so effortless, almost like he was just having a chat with a buddy. I really love him, but who wouldn't? That is one white man with too much charm! His delivery was excellent. I mean he shut it down. I was actually worried about President Obama topping Clinton's speech but of course... Our President was up to task. I still get teary eyed sometimes out of disbelief that he is the President of the United States of America. Certain events take place that hold a lot of significance, but after a while, the hype dies down. I don't think I've lost my astonishment for President Obama. I'm still amazed that a black man is in the White House. I had his back in 2008, and I didn't jump on this train to get off midway. Check out their speeches below.
