Inauguration 2013

Yesterday, Monday January 21st was very a historic day in the United States of America. Americans celebrated the inauguration of her 44th president, Barack Obama. It was a historic moment because for the first time ever, the first black president ever took his oath for a second term in office. Adding to the significance of the moment is the fact that the celebration fell on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, one of America's foremost civil rights leaders. I bet Dr. King was rejoicing in his grave!

I was glued to my TV screen just like I was four years ago, not wanting to miss any moment. I enjoyed it thoroughly; from the walk out of the church service early in the morning to the first dance at the inaugural ball!

The dream lives on...
