These Moments...

Last night after putting the kids to bed, I joined hubby in the living room. He was laying on the carpet on his laptop working on a presentation for work. I sat on the couch and also got on my laptop to do some work. I was out of the office in a class half of the day and I wanted to go over somethings and also check emails. I usually try to leave work at work.

Anyways, hubby had the TV on MTVJams and they were playing some really good throw back slow jams. Lauryn Hill's "Turn your light down low" came on and hubby put his head up and said "would you like to dance?" I don't even know if he meant it(lol), but I said "Sure, I would love to". To my surprise, he actually got up and stretched his hands to me, so I put my laptop away and reached for his hands. We slow danced to the song and while I held him close, I thought about how good this felt and how this moment was the best part of my LONG day! Of course hubby and his silly self threw off my thinking by putting his hands probably where they belong ;)

After the song, I told him thank you for the dance. He got back on the carpet and I sat back down and we both continued working. All it took was less than five minutes. Sometimes we both get so caught up in our day with work and the children, and we think planning a getaway either to the movies or maybe out of town is what we need. Those are awesome and gahlee! I look forward to them and need them in my life! Lol. However, some of these moments, unplanned and unexpected leave longer lasting memories...
