My First Mother's Day!

My First Mother's Day!

Last year, I missed celebrating mother's day by a few weeks. MoMo had not made her wonderful debut yet. Boy I tell yah, this was a really great first mother's day for me. I got so much love that I had to look at the calender to make sure it wasn't my birthday. Lol. The out pour of love was truly amazing.

I woke up early on Sunday morning to my first mother's day call from my mom! She woke me up out of my sleep, and I wouldn't have picked anyone better to say it to me first. Before she got off the phone, she asked if we were going to church. Such a mummy.. Lol. Almost right after her call, I got another call from my brother-in-law and my nephew. Hearing my nephew tell me happy mother's day was the sweetest thing ever. Hubby decided to be silly and called me while we were in bed to say happy mother's day. Yep... that's the man I married. It was pretty funny though. After that, we got up and got ready for church. The calls and messages kept coming. I reached out to all the mother's I know and also wished them a happy mother's day.

I taught the kids at church on Sunday, but there was a reception for the mother's after church and we all got gifts.

This lovely arrangement was delivered to me at work during the week from hubby :)

With my baby after church on Sunday.

I got this from hubby later on in the evening and I can't wait to listen to the Fred Hammond CD! He's one of my faves.

I had a really lovely first mother's day and I'm thankful for it!

Totally off the main post, but this Saturday, hubby blew me away! We woke up early in the morning, and relaxed in bed for a while with MoMo watching Yo Gabba Gabba. By 9:00am, we had breakfast and MoMo and I were out of the house to go grocery shopping. I also decided to take her to the doctor's office for a follow up visit for her ear infection. We got back home about 4hrs later and when I walked into our bedroom, I froze in my tracks. Not only had hubby done the laundry, he folded them too! Lol! Hubby is pretty impatient with stuff like that, so this was a big deal. Even I get frustrated folding MoMo's clothes because they're just so little. I had to take pictures of course!

MoMo's clothes all neatly folded!

He also went a step further and grouped his folding by onesies, pants, and blankets. Just how I like it! It was easier for me to put away because I keep them separated. Easier for getting ready!

He also folded sheets and towels!

All together, he did four loads of laundry. There was a set drying and another one that was done in the washer when we came in. Plus, he washed the bathroom too!

I was one pleased and happy wife :)
