Quite A Weekend

So much for my promise of blogging every day of the week, and that was two weeks ago.. SMH
On Saturday, we planned to take the kids Easter Egg hunting at one of the parks here in Bentonville, and then to a birthday party. Hubby bailed out on us because of his allergies and the kids and I took a good long nap in the afternoon. By the time I got up, they were still sleeping, so I headed out to the store to buy the birthday kiddo a gift. At this point, I squashed the plans for Easter egg hunting and just focused on the party. We had a really good time!

My Resurrection Sunday went by pretty quickly. I did something that I have never done before… I danced at church! Wait for it… ALONE!!! I’m still wondering how I pulled it off. Lol. The story starts early last year when I asked my baby sis to send me her dancing gear. For some reason I wanted to dance on resurrection Sunday that year but that never happened. But why would it? I had never danced before and the one time I was recruited to dance, I was supposed to dance with the dance ministry at my church in Atlanta to “Now, Behold the Lamb” by Kirk Franklin. I vividly remember practicing with everyone but I’m not sure what happened after that because I sure as heck wasn’t part of the performance. LOL! I really wonder how I was able to escape that. Anyhoo, fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, I said to myself again.. “I want to dance”. So I called up the dance leader at my church in Atlanta and she gave me the encouragement I needed. However! My plan was to not tell a soul. Besides hubby, my sisters and my mother (who by the way made fun of me and rightfully so.. ha!), I told only one person at church that I would dance. My plan was to back out if I needed to without having to answer any questions. So terrible!
Long story short, I picked a song, got on YouTube, found a dance routine I liked. I watched it a good number of times, learned the routine in one night and I just had to practice, practice until it was time. The time did come and I did dance and I sit here and take no glory. None. I am very thankful to God for being able to have done that. I pray someone was touched by it. Hubby recorded the dance but don’t expect to see that video… LOL
Major respect to dancers out there. And I’ll leave it at that. Lol!

Hope you had a Special weekend!
