Demi's 9 Months Mark!

Demi is actually 10months old. As a matter of fact, in a few days he will be 11 months old, and then he will be ONE!!! So crazy how the time has gone by so fast. I'm so torn some days with my babies. I want them to be older and have grown conversations with me and sometimes I just want them to remain as babies and always want my attention. Either way, I'm realizing how important it is to cherish every moment with them, whether good, bad, or ugly. Lol

Demibobo what are you up to?!

You are such a happy and peaceful baby! I can't say that enough. You don't bother me ever. As long as you eat and you have a clean diaper you are good to go.

You always wake up with a smile. Always!

You play very well on your own but you love playing with your big sister too.

You enjoy shower time but you HATE washing your hair. Honestly, it drives me crazy too and I really can't wait until your birthday comes so we can just cut it off! I was thinking about us cutting your hair into a Mohawk but I don't think I want to even deal with seeing any hair at all. We're both done! Lol

You love dancing! You start moving around when you hear music. Right now your favorite songs are "twinkle twinkle little star" and "if your happy and you're know it". You open you close your hands like a twinkling star when you hear twinkle twinkle little star and you start clapping when you hear if you're happy and you know it. I have the CD in my car with these songs and it has been a life saver because you don't always like seating in that car seat.

YOU LOVE FOOD!!! I mean it's something serious. You basically eat just about everything we eat. You have four teeth, so you can chew and enjoy like a grown man.

Your clothing size varies. You are no little boy. You comfortably fit into some 2T outfits. You wear a size 5 diaper. Same as your sis. Lol

You sleep very well! you always take naps during the day and even better, you've slept in your room until at least 6 in the morning for the past 4 days!!! Daddy is more than overjoyed to have his bed back and I think it's about time I enjoy good sleep too. I also started weaning you of breast milk! (This will get a post of its own). You've only nursed once since early Thursday morning.

You actually don't care for TV much. I'm yet to catch you give your full attention to a show.

You love it when we cuddle. It was more fun for you though when you could nurse too I bet! Ha!

You can stand on your own for an extended time without holding anything! Please walk before you turn one... Thank you!

You now get mad when something you are playing with is taken from you.

You love being tickled and you laugh like a grown man.

You have your days when you're a chatter box but mostly you're a quiet baby and that scares me because your sis was a church mouse too, and now.... Nonstop!

We LOVE you oh so so much Demibobo! You will always be mama's boy. Countdown to your first birthday! Let the planning begin :)

Big shout out to my nephew Uyi bobo! He turned 1 on June 11th! And I met him for the first time ever on his birthday when I was in Atlanta last weekend!Aunty loves you peanut head! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Much!

SIDE NOTE: I have slacked on blogging and I want to apologize to my readers. I've just not had the time. I mean NONE whatsoever. It's really hard keeping up with work and the kids, trust me. I enjoy blogging and I wish I could do it daily but not with my present life right now. It will get better though, I'm sure of that so be patient with me :)

Mr. & Mrs. Akinmola

Just like that, the wedding happened... all that preparation boiled down to a couple of hours and before I knew it, I was on a plane back to NWA!

So my sister got married last weekend and it was a really fun time. I got to catch up with family and friends, relax some, but most importantly, share in her joy. Don't be too disappointed because I really didn't get a lot of pictures. You will have to wait until the professional photos are ready. I'll share the link at that point but here is some of what I caught on my mobile device :)

Juliet and Bank at the traditional wedding.

Juliet's getting ready with her second outfit at the traditional.

Ready to see her hubby.

Juliet and our sweet mother.

Mr. and Mrs. Akinmola in their second outfit at the wedding. Love!

Proud parents! Mummy and Daddy!

The professional pictures will be out soon, taken of course by none other but Mr. Fola himself!

Have a great weekend!

Dear Morayo...

A few years ago, I wondered what I would do with you. I wondered if I was ready for motherhood and if I had acquired all the wisdom I needed to transfer to a child while raising them. Two years later, I don't know what I'd do without you. Morayooluwa you have changed my life forever in ways I never imagined. Here is the biggest lesson you have taught me in 2 years...

I thought I understood what unconditional love meant when I read about it in the Bible. We have a father in heaven and He loved us so much that He sent His only son to die for us. Great! However, I didn't comprehend it until June 4th 2012. As a matter of fact, I'd dare say it started as soon as I knew you were growing within me. Through my fears, I already started praying for you. I prayed for your health, for your growth, for every hair on your head, every finger, every toe. I had some days I was really stressed planning my wedding to your dad and I would break down in tears because I thought I was also putting a strain on you. I hadn't met you but I wanted you to be okay, I wanted you to have no worries.

Every time I think of how deeply I love you, I comprehend a little more, God's love for me. I am reminded constantly of Luke 11:13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will you heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" With the help of the Holy SpiritI've been able to connect this verse to many scenarios ever since having you. Through you,  I have a glimpse of God's love for me as His child, and that gives me the confidence I need because I know whom I belong to. Thank you.

These Days, you're super active and totally ready for your terrific 2's! A lot of days you do somethings, I'm left blown away by how intelligent you are. I can confidently say we've gotten to the stage where we interact with each other! Not necessarily through total audible words but you understand everything I tell you! Every action, gesture, sentence, reaction, reminds us that my little girl is growing up FAST. Two Sunday's ago, as we got ready for church, Demi was playing with a suitcase in the room. It fell on the floor and made a loud noise, so he started crying. Daddy walked over to pick him up and you jumped off the bed and said..."What happened?" Your dad and I just stared at each other. As a matter of fact, I had to ask him to repeat to me what you just said so I know I wasn't hearing things. Lol!

Mobooski we love you so so much. Daddy loves you, I love you, and DemDem just adores you. As you begin this new year, I pray God's protection over your life! You will continue to grow in His wisdom and good health will be your portion by His Grace. We look forward to the many adventures you'll take us on!

I took these photos the morning of your birthday....

Happy 2nd Birthday Queen Morayo!
