Longest Two Weeks Ever!

It has been three long weeks since I last blogged and I'll like to apologize to all my readers. I didn't plan on disappearing and staying gone that long. It has been pretty rough on my end but at the end of the day, God has been really good and all things have worked out for our good!

So what have I been up to? Let me start from three weeks ago where I fell off. Our aunt that was helping us left the last weekend in January after three months that literally flew by! Prior to her leaving, I started my search for a daycare for the kids. I got to the point where I had narrowed my search down to two based on the proximity to work and also the quality of child care. However, one had a waiting list for both Mo and Demi's class and the other had a waiting list for Demi's class. Waiting list? Yeah... Some daycares here have parents that sign up their unborn kids! I called this really good one that's quite popular and I was told I probably won't be able to get them in until next year and then the lady asked me if I wanted to come look at the facility and I thought to myself...."for what?". Anyways, we decided to go with the daycare that had availability for Mo and then find a stay home option for Demi. Plus, I wasn't totally comfy with him going to daycare just yet. We were able to find a nanny for Demi, so we were good to go! Mo started daycare the last week in January to get  adjusted, and Demi's nanny would start the first week in February after our aunt left.

The first two days of daycare were rough but she got adjusted pretty quickly. We got through the first week and then that weekend she started running a temperature. Then came the coughing, runny nose, sneezing, and sleepless nights. We got snowed in the first weekend in February, so I didn't go to work the first Monday and Tuesday of the month. Our new nanny made it in that Monday though. I was at least happy I was home to take care of Mo myself. By Tuesday, she started pulling on her ears and Demi was extra cranky, far from his usual self. We took Mo to the doctor on Wednesday and my thoughts were confirmed. She had an ear infection and after a late night scare that Thursday that ended up with us taking Demi to the doctor the next day, we also found out he had an ear infection. Through all of this, hubby also got really sick. I guess he got it from the kids. That following weekend for me was painful physically and emotionally. Having two kids sick at the same time, throw in a third child that I apparently gave birth to 5 years before I was born and my world was spinning. I broke down. To make matters worse, our nanny situation was just NOT working!

Long story short, everyone is doing way better now and it's safe to say we're back to 100%. Also! We started with a new nanny and I love her and I believe the kids do too! Thank God!

Some notables...

Demi turned 6months! Yay! I will put up a 6 months update soon. Also Mo will be 21 months in about two weeks, so also look out for that update.

Hubby and I marked our 2nd wedding anniversary on the 11th of this month! We celebrated this past weekend. We dropped off the kids with our oh so wonderful baby sitter and had a fun day to ourselves! It was a good time and a good break from the kids! It really has been a great two years and I look forward to many, many more. So cheers to the man of my reality!

Valentine's Day! We went to a very fun dinner that our church put together and had a really great time with other couples.

Hope you had a love filled day. And you don't have to have a significant other in order to have that! Love on yourself :)

Hump day tomorrow! Almost there... Lol

Pure Joy!
