Here We Are...

It is the last day of 2013. I just had to blog!

My day has been great so far. I went to work, got a lot of things out of the way since it hasn't been too busy at the office. I had lunch with hubby at the Sam's Club Home Office cafeteria and then left work an hour early. I stopped by at target to see if I could pick up some fun 2014 head bands but they had none! Maybe I should have gone to Walmart... lol. I also spent sometime today writing out some prayer points for 2014. I believe I did this for 2013 but I'm not sure where I put it. Bummer! I plan to keep this one though and God grant me the Grace to see another year, it would be awesome to go over it come December 31, 2014.

I have been really happy all day. I just have this joy about me and an expectant spirit for 2014. I am praying that God uses me in this new year and that everything I do will be all about Him and for his Glory. I'll be at church at 9.00p.m tonight, but before then, I want to get some things out of the way, so this will be where I stop.

Allow me to say thank you to you for coming back over and over again to see what's going on with me. I am very grateful for all my readers and I pray to do a lot better in 2014 with this blog. May the God of heaven that has been so faithful to me bless you in 2014 and give you a sweet testimony that will stay on your lips all year long. See you next year!!! A song in my spirit...

" All the Glory must be unto the Lord
Only He is worthy of our Praise
No man on earth should give Glory to himself,
All the Glory must be unto the Lord!"

Christmas 2013

Hubby had an idea this year to put together some pictures from this year for our Christmas card instead of taking family Christmas photos. I think it turned out great!

It has been a good day. From my family to yours, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Twas The Night Before Christmas

It has been busy, busy, busy around here lately. Work has been hectic and there has been a lot going on at home. My In-loves got in town on Saturday with Izi to spend the holiday with us. Hubby's whole family was actually supposed to come but things happen and plans got changed :( We are having lots of fun with mummy, daddy, and Izi though. The kids took some Christmas pictures. The first one was with Santa at the mall of NorthWest Arkansas two Sundays ago. Demi behaved well (guess he was clueless), but MoMo wasn't having it. I was so upset but I had to realize yet again that the picture does not have to be perfect and the tears, fear in Santa's arm, awkward pose etc... is all part of the fun and memories.

They also got to take pictures with Santa at the Sam's Club Home Office. I don't think I have mentioned this yet, but hubby got a new job so is now with Sam's club. Yet another amazing testimony and some of the wonderful things God has been doing in our lives.

Hubby joined in on this one. I was busy at work and didn't even show up :(

As you can tell, Mo was not feeling it... Ha!

This past Sunday we dedicated Demi back to God at church. We decided to do it since his grandparents would be in town, and we could have some family present. It was amazing! So grateful for our pastor!

On the left is our aunt. She has been taking care of the kids for us. I was so worried about putting Demi in daycare after my maternity leave and she came through for us almost at the last minute. The kids love her and I am more than thankful for her!

I love this pic!

Btw... Izi is missing out of these pictures because she made a new friend at church and went over to hang out. Lol

Also, our kids at church had their Christmas presentation too! I am one of the children's teachers and we practiced with them really ONLY 3 times, but they did so well! Uber proud of them!

Eva singing her "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" solo. Killed it!

Some fun photos at home...

Can't wait for tomorrow morning. There are many gifts for the kids to open, and I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces! Demi will be clueless of course and that's just okay. Lol. Christmas cards were mailed out yesterday. I sent them out late... I know, I know. I will be revealing our Christmas 2013 card tomorrow like I did last year, so come back to check it out!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Very Cold Days!

So it's currently freezing and snowing hard in NorthWest Arkansas. This was the temperature on my Iphone when I checked this morning...

Look at Monday's weather! YIKES! Btw we now live in Rogers not Bentonville anymore..

I didn't go in to work today but I worked from home (can't afford to just take a day off like that.. ha!). I was locked in my room up until about 4p.m this evening. I didn't let Mo know I was at home if not I wouldn't have accomplished half the things I did today. I am so thankful for our aunty currently staying with us. She definitely was on the top of my thanksgiving list. She was with the kids while I worked today and stays with them daily. Mo did come to my room at about 7:30a.m to pull on the door. Thank God I locked it! She walked away crying but of course got into something else very quickly. I wonder if she does that every day. Hmmnn....

Unfortunately, I can't even enjoy the time indoors with hubby. He is currently out of town. Perfect timing babe! *side eye*. Meanwhile my baby sis sent a text today about tank tops in Georgia in December. Really?! *Jesus be a Sun*

Three posts in a day? How about that? Enjoy your weekend! We'll be playing in the snow tomorrow. Can't wait to see Mo's reaction!

Nelson Mandela

Yesterday, I did not even have to turn on the TV before I found out that Nelson Mandela had passed. I saw it on every FaceBook status, every Instagram photo, and every Twitter status. That is just the kind of man he was and the type of life he led, one that left an impact on not just his sphere of influence but the world as a whole. It got me to thinking some more on how I want to be remembered. Nelson Mandela once said "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the life of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead". As you go about your daily life, think about what you are doing to make life better not just for yourself but for those around you. There is a lot we can all do to impact change, not necessarily in the world but maybe in our neighborhood or city or county. Who knows where/what that will lead to... I'm speaking to myself here too.

(1918-2013)

Rest in Peace Sir Nelson Mandela

MoMo Is 18 Months Old!

Wow... Where do I begin?!

You have a VERY BIG personality! You are very outgoing, loud, friendly, dependent, feisty, and I could go on and on.

You love talking on the phone, especially FaceTiming and you insist on holding the phone yourself.

You still love food! You refuse to be fed and always want to do it yourself. There are times when I give you your meal and if I forget the fork, you stretch your hand to me, as if to say "where's my eating utensil?" Lol. I must say, I'm really proud of you because you eat very well with your fork and spoon. Plate to mouth without making a mess. However, when you're done and there's still food left, you put your fork or spoon done and start playing with the food with your hands! Big mess! When it's your meal time, as soon as you see me warming up your food, you go sit in your chair knowing what's coming. Sometimes, that's how you let us know you're hungry. You either sit in your chair or stand in front of the fridge or pantry and whine. When I bring your food out of the microwave and you see steam, you start saying "ot, ot". Lol.  A couple of months ago, you said "nom nom" when you were enjoying your meal now you shout "YUMMY"! It's the funniest thing ever! Lol.

You are mummy's big helper. I actually send you to do stuff for me now. You can get me the remote control when I tell you to, or anything in close proximity when I don't feel like getting up (oh joy!).

You are loving being big sister! You give Demi lots and lots of kissing. You clean his mouth with his bib when he's drooling. You struggle to hold his bottle so you can feed him. You rock him in his rocker when he's laying in it. You love to sing to him and you touch his cheeks and say "baybay". Funny stuff. And my my you are very protective of him!

Whenever I change your diaper or Demi's I hand it to you and you go put it in the diaper pail. You get so excited doing that. You also love to be sent to put stuff in the trash. You've known what the trash is for months now.

You are not scared of kids bigger than you and you never back down to anyone! You are one little fire cracker! I love it though because I see leadership in you already. I just don't like it when you want to hit. Oh no no ma'am. We're working on that!

You still like sharing. I love that about you. Whenever you're eating something, you alway want to give those around you. You walk up to us and say "take".

Whenever you're told to stop doing something and you know you're wrong, you shout "no" and recently, you point your index finger at me and say "stop" to me too. Lol

Except for days that you're just so tired, putting you to bed is getting harder. You fight it with everything you've got. As soon as I say "bedtime", you start crying and saying "NO!" Lol.

Here are the words you are saying. Hope I can remember all... "No, stop, mama, baby, yummy, ball, take, hi, hey, hello, bye,

You are still obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba. These days when you badly want to watch it, you hand us the remote and start saying "Yo gaw gaw". I was shocked the first time you did this!

You absolutely totally LOVE singing and dancing. Daddy got you a toy microphone and you love it. Recently, you use Demi's rattle as your mic.

I am learning very quickly that you watch everything we do and copycat of course! Lol. Your latest is to hold your phone with your shoulder to your ear as if you're too tied up to use your hands, then you walk around just blabbing a whole bunch of nothing! The first time I saw you do this, I laughed so hard.

Thanks to your aunty Harriet, you love to paint your finger and toe nails, you love makeup and my my you love perfume! Every time you're around me and I'm getting ready to leave the house, once you see me spray perfume, you stretch your hands out. Good lawd! Thanks Aunty!

You like to put on your lotion after a bath yourself and I let you. You still love baths. I just have an issue with you trying to drink the water using your toy boat. No ma'am.

Your hair is getting longer and longer and I'm getting more tired and tired of the up keep! Lol

Your wearing 12-18months clothes, maybe some 24months depending on the style of outfit. Size 5 shoes and size 3 diapers.

You don't play around when it comes to daddy. As soon as he even looks at you, you stop what you're doing. But with me, ha! Daddy says because I let you. Hey! I was supposed to be the strict parent! Get it together mummy!

Your favorite snacks are grapes, Cheetos, oreos, and animal crackers.

For some weird reason, you love condiments/dressing. You just dip your fingers in it and lick away.

You love to high five, chuck knuckles (Aunty Renny taught you that), and give hugs and kisses.

You're good with brushing your teeth. I love that you stay quietly. You even know to stick your tongue out!

I feel like I'm missing some more things out, but these will do for now. You are just such a JOY and I thank God for choosing me to raise you! I LOVE YOU more than I could ever express it!!!

21 months here we come!

My Babies Are Getting Older!

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to my babies. They are growing so fast and I'm trying hard to enjoy every moment. Mo is 18 months today and Demi is 4 months old today too (already!). Our lucky number 4 babies! I will put up an 18 months update post on Mo before the end of the week so look out for it!

The weekend is almost here!

Better Late Than Never

First off, I want to apologize to all my faithful readers. I've left you hanging for some time now but the truth is I've been ridiculously BUSY. I have so much going on in my life right now, so much so some days I wish I could add some more hours to the day. I feel so bad most days because my communication with my family and friends is really taking a hit. I'm praying to get to that place where I feel some kind of stability. I know I will get there soon, it's just a matter of time. Through it all though, God is and has been faithful!

Our first thanksgiving in NorthWest Arkansas was awesome. We spent the day with family friends, had great conversations and enjoyed really good food! It was a really good time and a blessing to me considering that I wasn't planning on cooking anything! Lol. Here's why...

In my "Keep Calm" post, I mentioned we had something to be really thankful for this year. Well... Hubby and I bought a house! Yay!!! Whenever I mention this to anyone, I always get a response similar to this... "Y'all are here to stay, no looking back". Well, I'm not sure about all that. Lol. God can pack us up next month and move us to China for all I know. Either way, we made the decision and we plan to enjoy it while it lasts.

I am more than excited because this is actually my very first home purchase! Hubby got our home in Atlanta years before we got married. As with everything in our lives, there is a testimony behind the purchase of this home. When we first decided to purchase, this was the first house we looked at. We fell in love with it, but over time we looked at other options, and even at some point concluded we didn't want the house anymore. But somehow, we came back to it and today, it's our home. And I give God all the glory!

I have too, too much to be thankful to God for. When I think about how good God has been, my soul truly cries out hallelujah! Everything is not perfect and my life is not perfect but God has indeed been good. I'm thankful for every blessing he has given me!

I want to take this moment to to thank hubby. Babe I know you are reading this because you are one of my faithful readers and yes you did remind me recently that I haven't blogged in a while. Thanks for your encouragement btw. Lol. I am so thankful to God for joining us together. You inspire me daily to do better and be better and I am so overjoyed at how far God has brought you. Thank you so much for being a great leader in our home and for all you constantly do just to make sure I'm happy. I take note even when you don't think I do. Thank you babe! Yeah, and I'm thankful for Mo and Dems Dems too. Lol

Yay us!!!

With the kids. Mo is just so excited (Sarcasm of course!) Lol

Hope you had a great thanksgiving!
