I Survived My First Day!

I officially started work yesterday, and let me tell ya... it feels like it! It's funny because I haven't even started doing serious stuff or even using my brain power but I've felt so tired everyday after work. Currently laying in bed while typing this post. Lol...

I was in orientation yesterday and some parts of today and so far, I've met some really cool people. I had lunch today with my manager, who is totally cool and I also met with most of my team members. They seem to be a great bunch and I'm really excited to get started and learn about the business as well as make contributions along the way.

Never in a million years would I have ever thought that I would end up working for Walmart. However, I am learning so much about the company and if I say that I'm blown away by the history, that would be a major understatement. I mean that. I am more than overjoyed about this new journey and excited to see where it takes me.

Hubby took this picture of me yesterday before I left the house :)

I got my badge yesterday too. Usually I'm nervous about picture I.D's because you'll never just know how they turn out. I am very pleased with this one though. I think it turned out just fine!

Btw, considering I'm working now, my blogging hours will be really off. However, I truly enjoy this and by God's Grace, I plan to continue. I will try my best to have up a post, or two, or three(Lol) each week depending on how much I have going on.

MoMo In Daycare

Monday was Mo's first day in daycare and hubby and I went together to drop her off as early as 7a.m. She went in that early on Tuesday and this morning as well. I want her to get used to getting out that early because that's how early I plan to leave the house once I start work. I went in with all the stuff I was required to bring with me such as diapers, wipes, bottles, and change of clothes. I also took in a sippy cup and her pacifier (muy importante... lol). Once we got her settled, we somehow managed to sneak out of the room without her noticing.

As you already know, once I got home, I grabbed my phone to see how she was doing. I'm currently permanently logged in to the web cam... and no I don't stare at it all day. Lol. I noticed for a good bit of the morning, every time I checked the cam, the teacher was carrying her. I figured she was crying and wanted to be held and I was right. Towards the afternoon, I could see her moving around the room. That made me excited that she was getting used to her new environment.

I picked her up at 1:30p.m. My mom didn't want me to leave her there until 5p.m. She figured it would be too much for the first day and I agreed. When MoMo saw me, even though she had been playing prior to me walking into the room, she immediately started crying and crawled quickly to me. I picked her up and gave her several hugs and kisses and then she started laughing non-stop. Her teacher told me the morning was pretty rough but after she got adjusted she became a "serious chatter box", crawling around to the other kids and just babbling. Lol. Mo is in that stage right now where she just crawls around the house rambling on about something. She also tries to have conversations with her dad and I. Whenever I feed her, she rambles on and on and then pauses, as if waiting for me to respond to what she just told me. It's too cute!

Hubby dropped her off on Tuesday. He said as soon as he put her down, she started screaming (yeah... I watched the whole thing happen.. hehe). My baby has a good memory. Lol. Once again though, she adjusted after some time. I let her stay the whole time and picked her up at about 4:45p.m. This time around, she was sitting in a bouncy chair. She looked at me when I walked in and just smiled. Her teacher told me a funny story about her enjoying her afternoon snack so much that she reached for the little boy's tray next to her and started eating his snack. I guess she figured bruh was not moving fast enough. Ha!

I dropped her off this morning and even though she started crying as soon as I gave her to her teacher, she's doing better now. It's a new process and I'm sure she'll get used to it eventually.

Snap shot from this morning. She's on the right, sitting in her crib, above the info button. I watched the teacher rock her to sleep and as soon as she put her in the crib, she sat up. Lol

Out and playing. She's on the mat with a pink top on.

We prayed about MoMo starting daycare and finding the perfect place where she will be nurtured, loved, and handled with care and I believe God answered our prayers. The teachers are so in love with her and I can tell it's genuine. I can start work on Monday rest assured that she is in good hands and under the constant watch of her heavenly father :)

Missing My Baby!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

More great news! So, I got a job offer with Walmart recently and the awesome part about it is that it's exactly what I want to do! I am on the right path for my future career plans! Yay!!! God is so awesome, because there is a testimony behind how it all happened and it's very evident that it was ALL God!

Anyways, after receiving the offer, I gave myself two weeks to relax before getting started. Last week was the first week, and this week is the second week. We found a daycare for MoMo, got her registered and she started this morning. I wanted her to start a week early, so she can get used to her new environment. I'm currently logged in to the webcam at her daycare and I've been checking on her all morning(Ahhh!! I can't help it!). I am currently suffering from serious withdrawal syndrome! HELP! Lol. However, I am thankful I can get a lot of things done before I start work on Monday.

I MISS MY BABY SO SO MUCH!!!

Leaving the house this morning.

I Come From Royalty!

Some weeks back when I went to Chicago with MoMo, I listened to my Donald Lawrence station on Pandora(online radio) on my ride back home from the airport. I absolutely love Donald's music and he is one of my favorite gospel artists. While listening to the station, one of his songs that I had never heard before came on and I listened carefully to the words. After the song went off, I was in tears. I was in love with the message! It was a message that I am constantly trying to get myself to understand!

Most times as a Christian, I believe I underestimate the kind of power I have working within me. Personally, I know through most challenging situations I've been in, I am not immediately thinking about the fact that I serve a God who is more than able to handle that issue at hand. At least, that's what my Bible tells me... "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or think, according to the power that works in us" Ephesians 3:20.

The devil does not want the good of anyone and he always finds excellent ways to infiltrate our minds with negative thoughts. Thoughts that tell us we are not who the Bible says we are, and if we feed on those thoughts long enough, we actually begin to accept them either knowingly or unknowingly.

This past Sunday at church, the message we heard drove the nail in further for me. The pastor referenced 1 Samuel 16, the story of how Samuel went to anoint the new king of Israel in Jesse's household after God rejected Saul.  When all of Jesse's sons were before Samuel, he picked the first son of Jesse thinking that he was who God had chosen. It says in verse 7 "But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance , but the Lord looks at the heart.""

The pastor's message was actually about judging other people based on their outward appearance however, I tied it to the message of Donald's song for myself. Besides judging others, I have to also stop judging myself and start believing in my dreams and my worth regardless of whatever shortcomings I think I may have.

I want to encourage someone out there today. You are worth a lot more than you think you are and if you can believe... if you can just have enough faith to see yourself how God sees you and look beyond your circumstances, I guarantee you, there will be a change in your life and world.

This is the song by Donald Lawrence.. "There is a King in you"

Happy Monday!

Phew!

Earlier this year, I gave up my old iPhone 3GS and switched to the iPhone 5. However, during my set up, only my contacts were transferred to the new phone. I asked about my photos and videos and the store associate told me that it would be an easy transfer. All I had to do was connect the old phone to iTunes on my computer, upload the pictures and then connect the new phone to iTunes as well and transfer the pictures on to the new phone. Sounded pretty straight forward to me and all was well until I actually tried to do what he said this past Tuesday. Nothing worked!

I tried not to panic. I called Apple and spoke to two representatives who were unable to help me out. I think at that point I broke down in tears. Look! It was that serious. I could not afford to lose any of the pictures or videos I had on that phone. They were a lot of great pictures of family, friends, fun activities, but more importantly, it had captured moments of my growing belly during my pregnancy and A LOT of pictures and videos of MoMo. I took a breather and called back again. This time around, the third representative transferred me to a senior advisor after she also couldn't figure it out. The SA promised me I would be his last go to person and he was going to get me my pictures and videos and that he did! He took control of my computer screen and we were able to figure out the issue. I think I almost passed out when the pictures began to pop up on my screen. I couldn't help but say, "THANK YOU JESUS!" Lol! BTW, this was a 4+ hrs process!

Here are some of the pictures I WAS NOT going to give up! Lol

Spring Shopping for Mo!

Spring is in the air! It doesn't seem like it most days in Bentonville, but I look forward to better days.

Nature is starting to take a different look and of course the world of retail caught on months ago. I absolutely love outfits for little girls. Long, long before I ever knew I would have a daughter, I remember whenever I would see a pretty dress for a little girl, I would imagine my daughter in it. Well, out with those imaginations! I have my little girl now :)  While at the mall in Fayetteville with MoMo over the weekend for Easter pictures, I wandered into Gap kids and walked out with some nice buys for her.

I LOVE this Pink and blue polka dot romper!

I couldn't resist this really cute jeans dress either!

Check out this really adorable PJs!

By the way, I didn't pay the original price for any of these clothes. I'd like to consider myself a bargain shopper. I LOVE a good deal! All of these were on sale and I paid $51. 62 for everything and that's including our ridiculous taxes over here. I saved $39.60! How about that? I left a happy mama!
